Two men were injured after fireworks were thrown into their car as they stopped at lights on Corporation Road, Newport
TWO men were injured with one sustaining serious burns to his hand and chest after fireworks were thrown into their car in Newport.
The fireworks were thrown from another car, possibly a white BMW Series 1, when it pulled up alongside them at traffic lights on Corporation Road, near B&Q yesterday.
The two men were taken to hospital, one with minor injuries but the other with serious burns.
The incident happened sometime between 7pm and 8pm.
