APPEAL: The robbery took place under George Street bridge on the Maindee side at around 10am on Monday
POLICE would like to speak to two men after a woman was assaulted when she had her bag stolen in Newport on Monday.
The robbery took place under George Street bridge on the Maindee side at around 10am.
The first man is described as 5 foot 1 inches tall, white, stocky and wearing a thick black hooded jumper, with the hood tightened around his face.
The second is described as taller, white and of medium build. He was wearing a thin hooded top, with red toggles. The hood was pulled tight around his face and he was also wearing dark trousers and grey trainers.
Both men were wearing black gloves.
