The River Wye at Monmouth was 4.4metres and rising at 6.30am this morning.
Natural Resources Wales said it is expecting a peak level of between 4.5 and 4.7 metres later today.
The rowing club underpass gates are closed. The level at Grosmont, near Abergavenny was 1.2 metres and falling.
A high tide at Newport on the Wye Estuary is expected to reach 7.2 metres at 8.20am this morning. The previous high tide at Newport reached a level of 7.3 metres at 8pm last night.
High tide at Chepstow will be 25 minutes and at Tintern 45 minutes later than at Newport.
A RED flood warning and five orange flood alerts have been issued within Gwent.
The red flood warning has been issued by Natural Resources Wales for the River Wye at Monmouth.
At 7pm the level at Monmouth was 4.3 metres and rising slowly. A peak level of between 4.5 and 4.7metres is expected to occur overnight.
The rowing club underpass gates have been closed. The level at Grosmont was 1.2 metres and falling. A peak level of 2.6 metres occurred at 7am yesterday.
A flood alert has been issued for the coast from Aberthaw to the Severn Bridge, for the Usk Estuary, the Wye Estuary in Monmouthshire, the River Usk in Monmouthshire and Newport along with the Rivers Wye and Monnow in Monmouthshire.
High tide at Newport was expected to reach 7.3 metres at 8pm today. The previous high tide at Newport reached a level of 7.3 metres at 7.30am this morning.
All of the orange flood alerts with remain in force until Wednesday mornings' high tide.
