HOLIDAY-MAKERS are now able to let out a Gwent Wildlife Trust (GWT) farm cottage, following the completion of the project.

Monmouth-based furniture company Topstak donated a large log store and rain shield for the trust to use at Pentwyn Farm Cottage.

It means the cottage can now be let out, creating additional funds to help the trust to carry out important conservation work.

GWT currently manages 30 nature reserves, including wetlands, meadows and ancient woodland.

CEO Ian Rappel said: “We’re really grateful to Topstak for their generous support.

“Donations of ‘gifts in kind’ such as this mean we have more funds to go on our work protecting wildlife in Gwent for people to enjoy.”

Debbie Stenner, GWT partnerships officer, added: “Pentwyn Farm Cottage will give people the chance to enjoy the wildlife and countryside of a stunning part of Wales. And the proceeds from bookings will go to support our work to protect it.”

Adam Pedersen, director at Topstak added: “We are very happy to be able to support conservation work in the county. Gwent Wildlife Trust has achieved a great deal, and we are very happy to be playing a part in that."
