DAVID Cameron has thrown his support behind the Welsh Conservatives in today’s Welsh Assembly election.
Mr Cameron, who has only visited Wales once during the election campaign, said: “Today is a vital day for Wales.
“After 17 years in power, Labour need to lose just one seat to give you the change that Wales so desperately needs.
“A vote for any party other than the Welsh Conservatives today will see Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour party hold on to power for five more years.”
He said a Conservative-controlled Welsh Government would work to freeze council tax, treble free childcare provision, create more jobs by backing small business and improve infrastructure throughout Wales.
“Back the Welsh Conservatives today and you can end 17 years of Labour control in Cardiff Bay,” he said.
“Only by voting for the Welsh Conservatives will you secure real change for Wales. So use both your votes, and vote Welsh Conservative.”
