POLICE have warned online shoppers of a scam after a Newport resident bought a eashing machine via a website which turned out to be a scrapped machine.
The item was bought from a website selling second-hand goods and was delivered On Sunday May 1 to Constable Drive by two men in a white van.
The victim has tried to make contact with the seller but the number on the advert rings through to an answerphone message.
If anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact Gwent police on 101 quoting log 310 01/05/16.
Anyone who believes they have been victim of fraud, whether it be online, over the phone or face to face is urged to report it to police or Action Fraud straight away.
