A 45-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court following a fatal crash on the M4 in Newport.
Jason Edward Norman, of Jowett Avenue, Merthyr Tydfil, appeared at Newport Magistrates' Court today charged with causing the death of Andre Murphy by dangerous driving.
Norman is accused of causing the death of Mr Murphy, 56, an Irish stud farmer from Wexford on December 14 last year near junction 28 of the M4 while driving a Renault Scenic.
In the short hearing Norman spoke only to confirm his name, age and address. No formal plea was entered.
The case was sent to be heard in the crown court.
Norman is on unconditional bail and will next appear at Newport Crown Court on July 26.
