BURGLARS broke into a care home for the elderly, stealing a safe containing the residents' pension money.
Gwent police have appealed for information following the burglary which took place at Chilton Place on Alma Street in Brynmawr at 4.30am this morning (Thursday, October 27).
A safe was stolen from the home containing pension money belonging to the residents.
Car keys were also stolen along with a black Peugeot 308 cc convertible from outside. This was later found abandoned on Bath Lane at 5.10am.
Two further vehicles were also reported to have been broken into overnight on Alma Street; a BMW Z3 and a Suzuki Jimny.
Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to call 101 quoting log 52 27/10/16.
