A START date of March 14 has been confirmed for major road works on the M4’s Junction 28.
Prior to the work beginning, a public information exhibition is to be held outlining plans for works at the Tredegar Park roundabout and roundabouts at Bassaleg and Pont Ebbw.
The improvement works will include the construction of ‘high precedent’ run-through sections on the Tredegar Park and Pont Ebbw roundabouts, with an additional lane and signals at the Bassaleg roundabout.
The £13.7 million project will start in March and will take about 16 months to complete.
Ken Skates, the Welsh Government Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Infrastructure, will mark the project start with a turf-cutting event on March 14.
The exhibition will be held on March 1 and 2 in the Graig Community Centre in Bassaleg, and is open to the public from 11am to 8pm on both days.
Members of the construction team will be available to discuss the proposed improvements, as well as representatives from the Welsh Government and their agents, the principal contractor and the scheme designers.
