Police withdraw appeal after misunderstanding at a store
YESTERDAY the Argus published a story in print and online titled 'Gwent Police looking to speak with the people pictured in connection with fraud at a hardware store'.
We have since removed the story at the request of Gwent Police.
A police spokeswoman said: "We issued the appeal along with CCTV images.
"Following enquiries there appears to have been a misunderstanding between the consumer and the retailer.
"At this time no crimes have been committed in relation to this offence."
