POLICE are appealing for information following an assault on a 10-year-old boy.
Officers from Gwent Police are investigating the incident that took place at approximately 11:45am on Saturday, April 15 on Derwendeg Avenue, Cefn Hengoed.
During, the incident a boy and a girl aged approximately 12-14 years old approached a 10 year old boy asking questions.
They then caused a facial injury to the victim by using what was believed to be a rock.
The girl is described as wearing a grey hooded top, blue tracksuit bottoms with red-brown shoulder-length hair.
The boy is described as wearing a blue hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms with short blondie-brown hair.
The victim did attend hospital where he was treated for a cut to the head.
