Man charged following assault of elderly man in Newport
A MAN has been charged after an alleged robbery in Newport.
An elderly man was assaulted in Hillside Crescent, Rogerstone, at around 10am on Monday.
He received a cut to the arm and had around £150 stolen.
Gwent Police spokeswoman said: "Two men were arrested following the incident. A 33-year-old man from Bargoed has been charged with robbery. A 29-year-old man from Caerphilly has been released under investigation."
