OUR Gwent’s Prettiest Pet competition received hundreds of entries, and you will be able to see pets that were entered in today's edition.
We will be publishing a supplement showing the huge variety of pets entered.
Two winners, one chosen by a public vote and the other chosen by artist Christopher Langley, will receive a pet portrait worth £170 created by Mr Langley.
The Argus has teamed up with Mr Langley to offer the artwork that will be created from a photograph of their pet.
The pets featured will be shortlisted by Mr Langley then be put to an online readers’ vote.
The winners will receive the bespoke print on canvas created by Mr Langley, one of the artists in residence at the Celtic Manor Resort.
The print, on A2 canvas, will be created from a digital painting of the winning pet and will come with a signed certificate of authentication.
You can view Mr Langley’s work at art4u.wales
