A MAN demanded a woman to hand over her money in an attempted robbery in Newport.
At around 2.50pm on Friday, October 6, an unknown man was reported to have reached into the victim’s vehicle via an open window to remove the car keys during the incident in Skinner Lane, off Skinner Street.
A police spokeswoman said:"He then demanded for the female victim to hand over her money whilst being threatening.
"The victim did struggle with the suspect and managed to get her keys back before the offender then fled the scene.
"He is described as white with light messy coloured hair, of a gaunt appearance, slim build and approximately 6ft tall.
"He was aged in his late twenties to early thirties and spoke with a husky Newport accent.
"He was wearing a black hooded jacket with orange piping across the chest area.
"Anyone with information is asked to please call 101 quoting log 280 06/10/2017 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
