THE residents of a Blaenavon housing scheme were treated to a Christmas party with a difference.
Those living at Baker Street scheme were entertained at their Christmas party by young people from the local area.
Staff from Bron Afon Community Housing worked in partnership with the Hwb in Blaenavon, who offer a range of services for young people, to arrange the event.
Ria Gibbs, involvement officer with Bron Afon, said: “We have a community action plan for Blaenavon that highlights issues from local residents.
“One issue was around the perception of young people so we decided to get everyone together.
“It was a fun event with a lot of laughter. One person told me, ‘I’ve had such as wonderful time with the kids. Coffee mornings will never be the same’.“
