A CONSULTATION aiming to improve Abergavenny’s Bailey Park for the future generations has been launched by Monmouthshire County Council.

The Friends of Bailey Park and Abergavenny Town Team have compiled the survey with the aim of giving the much-loved park a new lease of life.

The thoughts and feelings of local residents and visitors to the park are vital to its future to make it a more accessible and vibrant space for all ages.

The park is home to many local sporting groups such as Abergavenny Rugby Club and Bailey Park Bowls Club, who will be integral to the engagement process.

Cllr Bryan Jones said: “Bailey Park is so important for the health and wellbeing of both local people and visitors.

“Listening to the voices of local community organisations and communities from surrounding areas is essential to discover how they would like to see the space improved and we encourage everyone to complete the survey.”

Results of the survey will provide evidence from the community and inform the next steps of a funding bid to improve the park and its facilities.

The survey is available via the council website tinyurl.com/yce8fe8x and must be completed by Wednesday, December 20.
