A 29-YEAR-OLD man arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Brynithel has now been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
The woman, named locally as Alison Gilbert, 51, was found dead at her house on Mount Pleasant Estate in Brynithel, near Abertillery. Her death is being treated as suspicious.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of 29 Mount Pleasant Estate between 8am and 6pm on Saturday, or anyone who has any information about the incident, to contact Gwent Police on 01633 838111 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
