THOUSANDS attended this years Abertillery Blues Festival, with one councillor saying the 2009 year was more popular than ever.
The event, which took place last Friday and Saturday, attracted people from across Britain according to Cwmtillery councillor Delwyn Davies.
Headliners included Alvin Youngblood Hart's Muscle Theory and Andy Fairweather Low & the Low Riders.
Also showing were the Oli Brown band and Jay Tamkin bands on Friday, and Early Thomas with Paddy Milner & The Big Sounds on Saturday.
Mr Davies, who has been going to the festival for a number of years, said he believed the crowd this year than previously.
He said: "There were more people coming from different parts of the country. I understand there were people from Scotland, West Wales, the West Country.
"It's getting established as a venue for blues."
