FESTIVE fundraisers took on the M48 Severn Bridge to raise money for Ty Hafan yesterday.
Around 500 runners, dressed as Santa Claus, set off across the bridge yesterday morning for a 3.5km run in aid of the family hospice.
The run was the first of three “Santas on the Run” events, sponsored by Foresters and Western Power Distribution, taking place across South Wales over the coming weeks.
Participants started from toll booths on the English side of the bridge, where a bus met them to take runners back to their cars.
Any runner raising more than £35 was presented with a commemorative souvenir.
Ty Hafan was established in 199 to provide respite, palliative and end of life care to children in Wales suffering from life-limiting conditions.
