Firefighters called to barn blaze in Abergavenny

FIRE crews were called to an Abergavenny farm earlier tonight after a canal boat stored in a barn caught fire.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said it was called at 6.10pm to Tyr Pwll Farm on Old Raglan Road, where a canal boat in a barn was being worked on.

Four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera were used to fight the accidental fire.

Crews had brought the situation under control within an hour.
