A SPECIALLY commissioned stained glass window was dedicated at a Cwmbran church to mark its 50th anniversary.

The window, which depicts the three crosses on Calvary hill, was dedicated at an all-age worship service at Llanyrafon Methodist Church, Llanyrafon, on Sunday.

The service of morning worship and prayer was conducted by Reverend Cathy Gale and preacher Mrs Mary Tribe, the eldest daughter of Reverend Coggle, who was the minister when the church opened in 1961.

The service was attended by parishioners and local organisations.

The window, which was designed and installed by Odysseus Ketchlove, a local designer and installer of bespoke stained-glass windows, was funded by the Church as part of its celebrations, and unveiled by Mrs Tribe’s sister, Mrs Elizabeth Pattimore.
