WELSH cider producers are gearing up to take part in the annual Welsh Cider and Perry Festival – this year taking place in a Gwent rugby club.
The Welsh Perry and Cider Festival at Ynysddu RFC on June 1-4 is to play host to over 60 different real ciders and perrys, as well as live music, food stalls and the Welsh Cider and Perry Championships.
Camping will be available on site allowing visitors to stay for the four days of the festival.
Among the drinks on offer is Blaengawny Cider made by Annie and Andy Hallett from Blaengawny Farm, Hafodrynys.
Rachel Matthews of the Welsh Perry and Cider Society said: “Wales has seen such great success this year and we are proud to be able to celebrate this at our Annual Festival.
"This festival has created a platform for up and coming ciders and producers and continues to increase year on year."
General entry costs £4 while campaign tickets cost £15 per person including entry.
Camping tckets can be bought in advance via welshcider.fatsoma.com or at Spillers Records Cardiff, subject to a booking fee.
