THE British Wireless for the Blind Fund has received £2,000 from the People’s Postcode Trust.
The organisation will use the money to buy specially modified auto sets for the blind and to develop volunteers who will be able to install and demonstrate these sets.
The charity provides a range of easy to use audio equipment which is specially designed or adapted to suit the needs of listeners who are visually impaired.
Gavin Davies, from Pontypool, who received an internet radio from the charity, said: “I’m really thrilled to bits withmy BWBF internet radio.
The project will make a lot of difference to people living with sight loss across Wales.”
