TWO men were jailed today for a total of 66 years for the murder of a man who they set fire to on a Newport street.
Kamil Semrau, 28, of Chepstow Road, Newport must serve a minimum of 30 years while Pawel Lysonik, 22, of Capel Crescent, Newport, must serve a minimum of 36 years in jail for the murder of Ramunas Raulinautis, who died of serious burns outside a hotel on Chepstow Road.
The pair were also each sentenced to 15 years for the attempted murder of Stanislaw Galeza and seven years for causing arson with intent to endanger life. These terms are to run concurrently.
Lukas Kalkowski, 30, of Laundry Road, Pontypridd and Stanislaw Gliszczynski, 31, of no fixed abode each were jailed for three years for attempted grevious bodily harm and 14 yrs for grevious bodily harm on Ramunas Raulinautis. These terms are to run consecutively.
