A POLICE officer was taken to hospital with arm and wrist injuries following a road traffic collision in Brynmawr.
The collision between a marked Ford Focus police car, responding to an emergency call, and a Vauxhall Astra happened on King Street on Tuesday just before 5.45pm.
A 79-year-old man, from the Penpedairheol area, who was driving the Astra, suffered from shock while a 71-yearold woman, from the same area, who was in the front seat suffered minor leg injuries.
Two unoccupied stationary vehicles were also slightly damaged as a result of the collision.
