A MAN who admitted stealing more than £600 worth of beer from a supermarket was given a community order and made to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.
Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court heard Cosmin Aldea, 23, tried to divert a security guard’s attention at Tesco, Station Road, Chepstow, on April 29, while another man pushed a trolley of beer out of the store. He fled the scene but was later arrested.
Aldea, of Kettering Road, Northampton, was also ordered to pay £25 towards court costs.
