  • "As a regular commuter, why is the surgery timed for the middle of the working day? Surely, regular commuters make up a significant element of the customer base but obviously views are being excluded. On the issue of cleaning, I slightly agree. I am aware Cardiff Bus cleans their buses during the day including air freshener."

Have your say on Newport buses

ABUS user surgery will be held in Newport next month to give residents the chance to have their say on transport issues and view plans for the bus station.

The surgery, organised by Bus Users UK with Newport council, will allow the public to meet senior staff from Newport Bus and Stagecoach and staff from the council. Bus users will also be invited to view the proposals for the bus station and comment on the retendering of contracts which is due to take place later this summer. The surgery, part of a rolling programme of surgeries held across Wales, takes place on July 2 in the foyer on the first floor of Newport Museum, John Frost Square, between 10am and 3pm.
