Tredegar DJ eyes Radio 1 Ibiza prize

A VALLEYS DJ is in with a chance of playing for Radio 1 in Ibiza alongside some of the industry's biggest names.
Jonathan Miles from Tredegar was on The Chris Moyles Show this morning with five other hopefuls who are competing for the dream prize of performing at Radio 1's Pool Party this Friday.
The winner will become the station's 'Superstar DJ' 2012 and will play alongside renowned names such as Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Axwell, DJ Fresh and Groove Armada at Ushuaia Beach Hotel and Privilege in Ibiza.
This week, the group will be going head-to-head in a series of DJ related tasks.
Chris Moyles explained today's task is to produce a ten minute mix from a large selection of tracks.
Danny Howard, who won the competition last year and has recently broadcast the Dance Anthems show on a Saturday afternoon, will be one of the judges choosing who will go through to the next stage tomorrow.
