Gwent pair to star in Valleys reality TV show

ONE wants to become the “Jean-Claude Van Damme of the Valleys”, the other a self-confessed ladette and drama queen.

They are two of Gwent’s cast members of the latest scripted-reality show to roll on to TV screens, MTV’s The Valleys.

Natalee Harris, 23, from Pontypool, and 19-year-old Aron Williams, from Tredegar, will appear in the show, which looks set to try to cash in on the same format as the The Only Way Is Essex, Geordie Shore and Made in Chelsea.

Mr Williams is a kick-boxer who works at a leisure centre, loves Tredegar, and says he likes “getting tanned and pumped”, while his party piece is wiggling his bottom. He also says he fancies himself as an action movie star and is the next Van Damme.

Ms Harris, a call-centre worker who wants to be a model, says she is “quite a ladette”, and “good press or bad press, it’s all some kind of press”.

She describes Pontypool as “no place to be unless you’re in an Adidas tracksuit and have no teeth”.

And there is no doubt that this latest slice of manipulated, non-reality television, edited to a stereotypical agenda by some London-based media graduates who have never ventured west of Chelsea will portray the whole of South Wales in the same positive light as Bouncers did for Newport.

All I can say is thank god no-one from the Port is mixed up in this debacle.

Surely the Olympics has underlined the fact that we need to end this endless line of reality tv drivel

This young lady has made a nasty, spiteful comment about Pontypool and it's residents. And her only claim to fame is going on some tacky reality TV show where exhibitionism and loudness is required in inverse proportion to talent!

I'm not sure where to start but I'll have a go.

Firstly, do men really wear t-shirts like that or has he purchased it from a female store?
Secondly, a grown man saying "I like getting tanned and pumped" epitomises what is wrong with this country.
Thirdly, he's not exactly aiming high if he aspires to be like Jean Claude Van Damme (who's Corrs adverts are insulting)
Fourthly, I want to be there the next time she attempts to go for a night out in Pontypool.

The Olympics is an example of what can be achieved with hard work and perseverance; the above is an example of what talentless people hope to achieve without any effort. Celebrities and famous in their own bedrooms.

To defend Pontypool, not everybody up here is like her. There are very talented and hard working people in the town, especially in the creative fields: e.g. writers, artists, photographers, musicians, etc, etc.

Those with no education or talent will provide entertainment for those with no education or talent - perfect match
