Cyclist airlifted to hospital following Abertillery crash

A MALE cyclist was taken to hospital by air ambulance this afternoon following a collision with a car on the A467 Abertillery.
Police were called to the incident near Bournville Road at around 4.30pm.
The male cyclist, from Newport, was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
The A467 between Castle Street and Blaina Road was closed following the incident.
A Gwent Police spokesman said investigations into the incident are ongoing.
