TWO arrests have been made following an aggravated burglary in Newport which left a man with serious head injuries.
The Argus reported how the man was attacked in his home during the incident at The Gorelands, Catsash, at around 3am on Sunday.
A Gwent police spokesman said a 50-year-old man and a 27-year woman, both from the Newport area, are currently in custody helping police with their enquiries.
The victim of the aggravated burglary remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
The Gorelands belongs to Prana Ballava Das who is currently facing trial for alleged false accounting and theft and for alleged health and safety offences relating to the running of Brithdir Care Home, New Tredegar.
