DIED: Kay-Leigh Buckley, who was killed in the blaze on Tillsland, Coed Eva in Cwmbran DIED: Kay-Leigh Buckley, who was killed in the blaze on Tillsland, Coed Eva in Cwmbran

TWO women and a newborn baby killed in a Cwmbran house fire in the early hours of this morning have been named locally.

Helen ‘Kim’ Buckley, 45, her 17-year-old daughter Kay-Leigh Buckley and Kay-Leigh’s premature baby daughter, Kimberly, who was only released from hospital yesterday, died in the fire in Tillsland, Coed Eva.

It is understood baby Kimberly was a twin, but her sibling died earlier. On grandmother Kim's web page she wrote "Welcome home our darling Kimberley - Yes it's true I'm coming home" with a picture of little Kimberley.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 3.30am, with a South Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman describing it as a "serious house fire", that was tackled by four appliances and a water bowser.

A Gwent Police spokeswoman confirmed that two adults and one infant died in the blaze at Tillsland, Coed Eva.

Tributes have started pouring in on social networking sites for the three family members who died.

Lisa (@buttonmoon1982) on Twitter said: "Terrible news about the family in Cwmbran. Just up the road from my nan. Thoughts are with their families."

Lisa Bakeman said: "Praying for the poor people involved with and related to those killed in the dreadful house fire in Cwmbran xx"

Kim Levan said: "So sad. Rest in peace, thoughts are with the family."

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and is currently in custody.

The upper floor of the two-storey building on Tillsland is reported to have been completely burnt out.

Fire Service and police will soon begin forensic investigations at the scene and will conduct house-to-house enquiries in the area.

Gwent Police are expected to release a statement about the deaths at lunchtime.

So sad to hear this news.
I'm so sorry that I never got the chance to fulfill the promise of coming down to Cwmbran and going on a night out with you, Kim, and the girls.
I hope you rest in peace. I will never be able to listen to Westlife in the same way again.
Love and miss you.
I WILL see you someday.
