I CAN only praise the speed of the waiting times at Newport’s Royal Gwent Hospital and YYF Ystrad Mynach, due to my experience.

In August, I needed a test for a urological condition which showed suspicious areas that needed further investigation. I went on to have an ultrasound scan, cystoscopy, CT scan and a general anaesthetic where a biopsy was taken. Thankfully, all this was done, including diagnosis, in 58 days. Luckily for me it wasn’t anything serious. It is an extremely anxious time waiting for a diagnosis. I have to say, though, I was impressed by how quickly both hospitals carried out the tests I needed and I cannot thank them enough.
