I MUST write and congratulate Terry Richards on his faultless organisation of the Sportsman charity dinner on Friday night in aid of St David’s Hospice Care.
His speakers on the night were Adam Jones, Terry Cobner, Clive Norling, Adrian Hadley and cricketer Mark Wallace – all compered by Phil Steele. The worthwhile cause, via the dinner and auctions and raffles on the night, raised in excess of £6,000. There were many other famous former local rugby players in attendance, such as John Perkins, Mike Whitsun, Iestyn Thomas, Mostyn Richards and Ritchie Donovan, to name but a few, and Terry Richards thoroughly deserved his standing ovation.
