WE READ with interest the recent comments of bus user Mary Norman who was disappointed with the fare she had been charged to travel from Pontymister to Newport. The letter suggested that this was a service that Newport Transport operated when in fact it is not. It is operated by another bus company.
At Newport Transport, we very much share Mrs Norman’s view that affordable public transport is important to helping support the city’s growth. This is why we have made a determined effort to be one of the cheapest bus operators in Wales with a variety of value ticket products and bus smartcards that give people the chance to use our buses when they need to at a price that offers savings and value for money. We are pleased to advise our customers that we will strive to continue this policy in 2013.
