AS THE chairman of Plaid Cymru, the party of Wales in Islwyn, you wouldn’t expect me to be sympathetic to the Labour Party, but I have to say I am as disappointed as I am angry with the Labour councillors on Caerphilly council for giving senior management huge pay rises. Not disappointed because I think they are incompetent, but because they must be naive. Labour councillors in Caerphilly must be out of touch with the feelings of the general public. An apology is one thing but let’s hope they improve soon, we have another four years of them in charge at Caerphilly council, it will feel like a long time if they don’t!

Mike Jackson, Chairman The party of Wales Islwyn
