Cycleway is open again

GOOD news, I can confirm that the Pillmawr road to Caerleon cycleway/footpath has been reopened.
I used it on Sunday, a temporary repair has been made, so I must commend Newport City Council on its rapid response, but it must have been from my and/or other complaints to the civic centre because the cycleway was reopened before my letter appeared in the Argus. If the council had taken the trouble to keep staff up to date with ongoing highway problems, as I was informed that money was short and the repair of the cycleway would not be considered until at least next April. However well done Newport council and thank you.
