THIS business of Andrew Mitchell – does it matter about the word ‘pleb’? He was in the wrong, he abused his position by not accepting he was not allowed to use that gate, a bit of the great ‘I am’ I think.

Who do you think you are?

If one of the general public swore at the police, inside you go, that’s what should have happened.

For crying out loud, no-one died. You clearly have never been stressed. I have been spoken to in similar style by the police without provocation in a case of mistaken identity. They will have heard much worse.
