Plaid 'dodged' pay rise issue

ON THE issue of Caerphilly council senior officers’ controversial pay rises, Mike Jackson wonders “if (Labour’s) apology and changes were made as a result of the public outrage, action by the trade unions, and stand taken by Plaid councillors?”

No, Mr Jackson – they were made because, once the Labour group of councillors found out about the detail of the pay rises, they knew they were wrong when so many people in Caerphilly county borough are facing hardship. And Plaid councillors haven’t “taken a stand”. They dodged this issue when they controlled Caerphilly council, and have done nothing to help sort the problem out since. Labour is now working to put right the situation.

talk about dodging issues labour was given a safety report on playgrounds prior to a council election, they did nothing with it for months, which could have resulted in children being killed. people would forget what labour done awarding loyalty to labour friends.
