Why are the adverts pink?

SOMETHING occurred to me as it is now January as to why being the designated Teal colour for this specific cancer month, why adverts are still predominantly pink?
I am very aware of the plight of breast cancers, but now and again it would be nice for the rest of them to be remembered and put in the public eye.
Most people couldn’t even tell you that there are colours for each of the cancer groups. Cervical cancer is known as the silent killer, and needs all the publicity it can get especially with the new HPV vaccines etc that are being supplied.
