Litter pick job well done

I WOULD like to say thank you to the ladies of Rogerstone WI for the great work they do every month litter-picking in the Rogerstone area.

I was very pleased to be able to join them last Saturday and I saw how well organised and passionate they were about cleaning up our area. After about one and a half hours 16 bags of rubbish and recycling had been collected. This effort transformed the area from shabby to pleasant. This led me to thinking that we need more people who are willing to help and get involved with this work, and wouldn’t it be so much better if people didn’t throw down their food wrappers and drinks bottles? Please take your rubbish home or put it in a bin.
