MY letter on dog fouling, published in Tuesday’s Argus, has had a tremendous effect, a local councillor has promised us a write up in her weekly “Grass Roots” column in next Monday’s Argus.
I have had talks with several town councillors who are backing us to the hilt. Also Monmouthshire Housing Authority have invited me to a meeting at Plas Mawr to discuss further action, volunteers have offered to put up more posters, and a photographer has undertaken to take pictures of offenders in order to prosecute them and I am given to understand that one such prosecution is shortly forthcoming. In all, a very successful campaign to date. The purpose of this letter is to “keep the ball rolling” to show these slovenly people that we really do mean business, once again, thank you for highlighting our problem.
