Let's cut losses and leave EU

First published in Letters

I BELIEVE in controlled immigration but not in the chaotic mess that has been imposed upon the British people. I and others feel that perhaps we would be better off outside the EU – there are other markets. We import more from the EU than they import from us. We pay more in the “bottomless pit” of the EU than we receive back, in my opinion the EU would be the overwhelming losers if Britain were to pull out of the Union – they would miss the billions of pounds we donate to a failing and badly run coalition. Unless the rules are changed so we can protect our borders, to have our democratically elected government decisions given priority over the Brussels Eurocrats (at the moment our government can be overruled by faceless un-elected Eurocrats) then I and others believe very strongly that we should cut our losses.

In a global economy it is stupid to rely on Europe as a major customer, especially when all the trade is in Asia these days. Europeans are incompetent apart from the Germans and that is because they are flooding China with trade ideas and making money there, meanwhile the Brits whine at Europe from a position of no influence at all and we are just laughed at basically. we need to get the hell out and trade elsewhere. The only reason Cameron is now making waves is because his beloved city of London bankers are being held back by Europe. They only issues that ever united them was in-fighting and wars. Even now dragging us into Mali for another one... If Europe acted responsibly they would have used their borders to keep these terrorists out not help them all the way from Africa to HERE.
