I THOUGHT I would share with readers what I happened upon trudging home through the snow, as dusk was falling... a dead pheasant.
It was placed in a plastic bag on top of a litter bin in Ruskin Avenue, Rogerstone. It was huge, and first of all I thought it was a discarded artificial feather decoration as a long feather was sticking out of the bag, but on lifting the cover I saw this magnificent bird, really beautiful plumage... but dead. How did it get there? I wondered. Perhaps someone knows how it got there?
