Internet health checks cheek

THOUSANDS of people voted Labour in the last Welsh Assembly election because of a manifesto promise to introduce annual checks for the over-50. Now all they are offered is an internet health check to people aged over 50 by the Welsh Government.

This is a broken promise; a U-turn because Labour never looked at how much this manifesto promise would cost, or consulted the professionals on how this would be rolled out. There are thousands of people over 50 who are unable to access the internet with bad connection or lack of knowledge. So even this new internet check will be a waste of time for them. The things Labour will say just to get elected – and they wonder why people are fed up with politics and politicians.

oh no Mr Nutt again blaming all the worlds poblems on Labour,, it must vey difficult being a Nationalist and on the sidelines of main stream politics, and in party that has no future

to think mr nutt if we scrapped welsh language we could have more money to spend on health but I think it was you who wrote recently that £200 million a year spent on this old archaic language.

Internet checks are a complete non-starter for many areas. Recently the BBC (Wales) News put out an complete condemnation of the welsh NHS, instigated by two reports from grass root deaf people, one from Wales, one from an English researcher. They were able to prove internet access, NHS direct access, and 86% of ALL NHS websites prevented them logging IN. Then were able to identify those who had communication issues never accessed out of hours services either. NHS Cymru was then out at the top of the list as the worst NHS system in the United Kingdom and a threat to people's well-being. MY GPP cannot e-mail the Gwent Hospital 2 miles away,most computer systems NHS uses are not able to connect with each other,and the digitalisation exclude too many professionals from interacting with each other so they get ipads or something, presumably to play on facebook,and still patients could not access them..

Mr Milliband accuses the Con/Libs of U-turns and reneging on promises at every possible opprtunity he gets in Parliament.
Surely the same should apply when Labour do exactly the same here in Wales.
So come on Mr Nig, don't be so thin skinned when the tide is turned against you and you Labour friends renege on their promises to the people of Wales.
