I wonder what God would say

TUESDAY, February 5, 2013, must go down as one of the saddest days of my life – the day when 400 MPs did our country a grave disservice by voting in favour of that contradiction in terms – same-sex ‘marriage’.

Sad to say, my own MP was among them. Putting all other arguments aside, how blinkered one must be to want to attach the same label to two fundamentally different types of union. In another sphere, this sort of thing would fall foul of the Trade Descriptions Act! One thing’s for certain – however we may define marriage, the one and only true definition is held in the courts of Heaven.

Comparing gay marriage and the trade descriptions act is a little tenuous isn't it?

As for wondering what god has to say about it I would like to know that if god does exist (quite a few people would doubt he even does) is it your one or have you backed the wrong horse?

If god does tell you what she thinks can you ask her where I have left my keys. I won't hold my breath.

No wonder the Islamists get annoyed ! (Unlike Christians who just sit there and take the abuse...). But the critics are basically cowards, only attacking what they can get away with. In reality none respect anyone's rights, their 'job' is simply to criticise anyone who doesn't believe anything goes, or has a belief they don't..

sorry to the OP BUT im afraid that, for me,and many like me-religion does not play a part in my life-I respect his beliefs and his right to air them but it is meaningless for me-the fact that the Pope has resigned has achieved worldwide coverage but what the hell? poverty, sickness and corruption have much more relevance for me than a tired old man who willingly admits that he cant handle the job-good luck to him for his bravery -put religion on the back burner

Depends what mood he is in I suppose. One minute he loves everyone the next he wants to smite people and punish the non-believers. A similar thing seems to happen in other religions.

Sounds like living with a mentally deranged housemate.

I asked Him, He said, 'If they think this is bad, wait until next year...'

Wrong abrahamic faith? How did that happen? Almost as if you were born into it.

It's obvious that Islam is the correct faith. They kill and rape their homos. Quick, change faiths now before it's too late! Better yet, why don't you sod off to the theocracy of your choice, where democracy has about as much say as a woman, you can live out the rest of your days in servile bliss.

You didn't win because your best arguments were either blatant lies, or were non sequiturs. Take it like a man (pun intended).
