CAERPHILLY, Monmouthshire and Blaenau Gwent councils have withdrawn the sale of beef burgers in all schools. Are these the very same local authorities who tried to ban burger vans from parking outside schools in order to protect students from the temptation of consuming junk food? What were these councils up to then, I wonder? Was the ban on burger vans put in place to care for the health of schoolchildren or was it in place to covet their own little profitable business in the sale of junk food?
