Not an elite that's shrinking

IN your article “Catholic Church ‘needs reforming’”, 26th February 2013, the last paragraph reads: “His decision has left Britain’s Roman Catholics with no vote in the conclave as Cardinal Murphy-O’Connor, at 80 years old, is ineligible to cast a vote.”

See, the Roman Catholic Church is not content only to discriminate against women but is ageist as well. Murphy O’Connor’s age would not have disenfranchised him until a few years ago, but the fact that it now does show that the Roman Catholic Church is going backwards, not forwards.
