Junk Labour for a brighter future (From South Wales Argus)

Liking your logic but can we junk Plaid in the same job lot? You're no use to them unless you wear a stove-pipe hat, own a farm in Ceredigion and think Owain Glyndwr is still alive. The problem you'll have is stopping the nodding donkey Labour supporters who will still line up for Bob Bright, Rosemary Butler, Caerphilly Council and half the thieving dead legs in Cardiff bay despite all the evidence that we'd be better off replacing any of them with a concrete block.

I am always baffled how Welsh Labour brands itself as 'radical'. Its nothing of the sort. Its actually a conservative party - conservative with a small c.

They could be doing some great things in the Assembly but all they do is tinker here and there, meddle and when things go wrong blame Westminster.

In Wales, we really got to get into the habit of voting differently. It doesn't matter what party because constant political change is good for our communities and more importantly, it keeps the politicians on their toes!

We NEED a BIG change NOW.

If any of the LIB LAB CON get into power at the next General election i believe that this will either END our Country as most of the British know and want, or it will either have a UKIP or British National Party Government in power.

I would sooner UKIP but would settle for the BNP to put right what the left have destroyed and are still destroying.

The Media pushed by the 3 will pour lies and made up false assumptions against them, its up us to change things when it's time to vote.

The difference on immigration between these two are UKIP will have 50,000 plus net, the BNP wont have any immigrants and will in fact help immigrants to go back to their home with a cash payment.

Their home Government would also have a payment, this payment is nothing new it's been the choice of every Government to do....

D'you know I'm struggling to see where there is a racist remark above. Did I miss it? As for civilised nation, I've no doubt the growing swell of militant Islamic opinion would happily repeal many of the freedoms for women and gay people so best not take it all for granted just yet eh?

Never been a member of any party Howie and no supporter of Cameron either. I defend him occasionally when I feel it justified (like when Mervyn accused him of buying banks) but in general I think he's a coward and quivers in the shadow of the real liar Clegg. But anyone who thinks that the millionaires Milleband and Balls are honest, would suddenly fix the economy and garland the working class in flowers needs sectioning under the Mental Health Act.

Cardiff has benefited from all the grant money and having thousands of over paid jobs the assembly brings

If you ask me all this talk of parties is just smoke and mirrors. IMO it's the whole system of representitive democracy that has to go. The whole electoral process in this country is a joke... a really, really bad joke.

Proportional representation would perhaps be a step in the right direction, but not really far enough. We have the technology available to implement a system of direct democracy - yet you prefer to be governed by corrupt, self serving scum. I lament the loss of backbone in the 'Great' British public.

Agree. Around 80% of votes cast in elections can't change anything. A lot of council wards and AM/MP seats never change hands. The 'honourable' members of all colours lie and they wonder why most people can't be ar*ed with politics.
