Focus on our own problems

WHY do our politicians have an obsession with intervening into the problems with other countries?
William Hague has announced that Britain will be supplying items to aid Syrian fighters against the current regime. We aided Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan, as well as our SAS training Khmer Rouge to murder their own people in Cambodia. We are no longer an Imperialist Empire but continue to act like one. I thought that the United Nations were responsible for attempting to resolve world conflict, but no, Britain still acts like an American lackey, when we should be spending our resources on combating the current economic climate. I don’t see Poland, Russia, Portugal, Croatia, Botswana, Fuji or many others getting involved, so why us? Perhaps we should publish a league table of contributors of aid, whether military or financial, to see where we stand. I’ll bet we are near the top every time. Let’s concentrate on economic problems in this country.
